The food is buffet style, but the chef is a master and the food was delicious! The view of the river out the restaurant's windows are a bonus, as is the view from the veranda behind the lodge. The trails were spectacular, winding through the woods with the trees in full color! The price was very reasonable too.Īte breakfast in the lodge a couple times which is included in your stay. The wranglers were very knowledgeable and chose horses according to your ability. We were very impressed with how clean the paddocks were and how well kept the horse are. We were there during the full moon and were lucky enough to see the "moon bow" during two separate nights. Of course the waterfalls were the big draw. There was plenty to do at this resort, miles of hiking trails running along the river under beautiful limestone cliffs. The cabin was completely furnished with comfortable beds and a full kitchen including all cooking utensils, appliances and even an ice maker in the refrigerator! We also had a working stone fireplace! There was a porch out front with two comfortable chairs in which we spent many hours reading or enjoying a cocktail! What a beautiful resort! We stayed for one week in October in one of the old CCC cabins.
